INTRODUCTION
SNC201 is a single channel voice synthesizer IC with PWM direct drive circuit. It built-in a 4-bit tiny controller with one 4-bit I/O port. By programming through the tiny controller in SNC201, user’s varied applications including voice section combination, key trigger arrangement, output control, and other logic functions can be easily implemented.

This device is an advanced direct conversion receiver for operation up to 470MHz. The design is based on the SL6609 receiver and is a pin for pin product upgrade. The device integrates all functions to translate a binary FSK modulated RF signal into a demodulated data stream. Adjacent channel rejection is provided using tuneable gyrator filters. To assist operation in the presence of large interfering signals both RF and audio AGC functions are provided.
The device also includes a 1 volt regulator capable of sourcing up to 5mA, a battery flag and the facility of incorporating a more complex post detection filter off-chip. Both battery flag and data outputs have open collector outputs to ease their interface with other devices.

OUTLINES
The AK2572 enables to keep the optical power of the direct modulation LD (Laser Diode) constant by the APC (Automatic Power Control) circuit. It consists of a current programming function (APC_FF) responding to the temperature characteristics of each LD, and a Digital feedback function (APC_FB) to adjust the LD current based on the monitoring PD (Photo Diode) current.
The AK2572 is also applicable to the Burst mode transmission. The device equips a Power leveling function to switch a temperature compensation programming data by either Hardware pin control or Register setting.
The On-chip EEPROM (Non-volatile memory) allows to adjust and to keep the individual setting data for each LD characteristics via 2-wire Digital interface after being assembled into sub-system. As 1k bits User Area is allocated in the EEPROM, which supports the ID field of the SFP specification, a proper operation required for the SFP module is realized by using the TXFAULT function.
