DESCRIPTION
The DS1315 Phantom Time Chip is a combination of a CMOS timekeeper and a nonvolatile memory controller. In the absence of power, an external battery maintain the timekeeping operation and provides power for a CMOS static RAM. The watch keeps track of hundredths of seconds, seconds, minutes, hours, day, date, month, and year information. The last day of the month is automatically adjusted for months with less than 31 days, including leap year correction. The watch operates in one of two formats: a 12-hour mode with an AM/PM indicator or a 24-hour mode. The nonvolatile controller supplies all the necessary support circuitry to convert a CMOS RAM to a nonvolatile memory. The DS1315 can be interfaced with either RAM or ROM without leaving gaps in memory.

Description
The ISL6745A is a low-cost double-ended voltage-mode PWM controller designed for half-bridge and full-bridge power supplies and line-regulated bus converters. It provides precise control of switching frequency, adjustable soft-start, and overcurrent shutdown. In addition, the ISL6745A allows for accurate adjustment of MOSFET non-overlap time (“deadtime”) with deadtimes as low as 35ns, allowing power engineers to optimize the efficiency of open-loop bus converters. The ISL6745A also includes a control voltage input for closed-loop PWM and line voltage feed-forward functions. The ISL6745A is identical to the ISL6745, but is optimized for higher noise environments.
Low start-up and operating currents allow for easy biasing in both AC/DC and DC/DC applications. This advanced BiCMOS design also features adjustable switching frequency up to 1MHz, 1A FET drivers, and very low propagation delays for a fast response to overcurrent faults. The ISL6745A is available in a space-saving MSOP-10 package and is guaranteed to meet rated specifications over a wide -40°C to +105°C temperature range.

DESCRIPTION
The DS1305 Serial Alarm Real Time Clock provides a full BCD clock calendar which is accessed via a simple serial interface. The clock/calendar provides seconds, minutes, hours, day, date, month and year information. The end of the month date is automatically adjusted for months with less than 31 days, including corrections for leap year. The clock operates in either the 24-hour or 12-hour format with AM/PM indicator. In addition 96 bytes of nonvolatile RAM are provided for data storage.

An interface logic power supply input pin (VCCIF) allows the DS1305 to drive SDO and PF pins to a level that is compatible with the interface logic. This allows an easy interface to 3-volt logic in mixed supply systems.

The DS1305 offers dual power supplies as well as a battery input pin. The dual power supplies support a programmable trickle charge circuit which allows a rechargeable energy source (such as a super cap or rechargeable battery) to be used for a backup supply. The VBAT pin allows the device to be backed up by a non-rechargeable battery. The DS1305 is fully operational from 2.0 to 5.5 volts.

Two programmable time of day alarms are provided by the DS1305. Each alarm can generate an
interrupt on a programmable combination of seconds, minutes, hours and day. “Don’t care” states can be inserted into one or more fields if it is desired for them to be ignored for the alarm condition. The time of day alarms can be programmed to assert two different interrupt outputs or to assert one common interrupt output. Both interrupt outputs operate when the device is powered by VCC1, VCC2, or VBAT.

The DS1305 supports a direct interface to Motorola SPI serial data ports or standard 3-wire interface. A straightforward address and data format is implemented in which data transfers can occur 1 byte at a time or in multiple-byte burst mode.

DESCRIPTION
The MSM 58321 is a metal gate CMOS Real Time Clock/Calendar with a battery backup function for use in bus-oriented microprocessor applications.
 The 4-bit bidirectional bus line method is used for the data I/O circuit; the clock is set, corrected, or read by accessing the memory.  The time is read with 4-bit DATA I/O, ADDRESS WRITE, READ, and BUSY; it is written with 4-bit DATA I/O, ADDRESS WRITE, WRITE, and BUSY.

The clock/calendar provides seconds, minutes, hours, day, date, month, and year information. The end of the month date is automatically adjusted for months with less than 31 days, including corrections for leap year. The clock operates in either the 24-hour or 12-hour format with AM/PM indicator. The DS1307 has a built-in power sense circuit which detects power failures and automatically switches to the battery supply.
