GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The ACT4070 is a current-mode step-down DC/DC converter that generates up to 3A output current at 400kHz switching frequency. The device utilizes Active-Semi’s proprietary ISOBCD30 process for operation with input voltage up to 30V.
Consuming only 6μA in shutdown mode, the ACT4070 is highly efficient with peak efficiency at 95% when in operation. Protection features include cycle-by-cycle current limit, thermal shutdown, and frequency fold back at short circuit. The device also includes an internal soft start function to prevent overshoot.
The ACT4070 is available in SOP-8/EP exposed pad package and requires very few external devices for operation.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The CM2596S series are step-down switching regulators with all required active functions. It is capable of driving 3A load with excellent line and load regulations. These devices are available in fixed output voltages of 3.3V, 5V, and an adjustable output version.
The CM2596S series offers a high-efficiency replacement for popular three-terminal linear regulators. Also it requires a minimum number of external components. It substantially not only reduces the area of board size but also the size of the heat sink, and in some cases no heat sink is required.
±4% tolerance on output voltage within specified input voltages and output load conditions is guaranteed. Also, the oscillator frequency accuracy is within ±15%. External shutdown is included, featuring 150μA (typical) standby current. The output switch includes cycle-by-cycle current limiting, as well as thermal shutdown for full protection under fault conditions.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The ACT6357 and ACT6358 step-up DC/DC converters drive white LEDs with an externally programmable constant current.
These devices feature integrated, 40V power MOSFETs that are capable of driving up to ten white LEDs in series, providing inherent current matching for uniform brightness.
WLED brightness adjustment is easily achieved via a dual-function pin, which accepts either a PWM or an analog dimming control signal.
The ACT6357 and ACT6358 feature a variety of protection circuits, including integrated over voltage protection (OVP), programmable soft-start, cycleby- cycle current limiting, and thermal shutdown protection circuitry.
The ACT6357 has 500mA current limit, while the ACT6358 has 1A current limit.
Both parts are available in a small 3mm x 3mm 8-pin TDFN33-8.

DESCRIPTION
The LTC®3426 step-up switching regulator generates an output voltage of up to 5.5V from an input voltage as low as 1.6V. Ideal for applications where space is limited, it switches at 1.2MHz, allowing the use of tiny, low cost and low profile external components. Its internal 2A, 100mΩ NMOS switch provides high efficiency even at heavy load, while the constant frequency, current mode architecture results in low, predictable output noise that is easy to filter.
Antiringing circuitry reduces EMI concerns by damping the inductor while in discontinuous mode, and internal soft-start eases inrush current worries. Internal frequency compensation is designed to accommodate ceramic output capacitors, further reducing noise. The device features very low shutdown current of 0.5μA. The LTC3426 is available in the 6-lead SOT-23 package.

* General Description
 AP1511 consists of step-down switching regulator with PWM control. These devices include a reference voltage source, oscillation circuit, error amplifier, internal PMOS and etc.
AP1511 provides low-ripple power, high efficiency, and excellent transient characteristics. The PWM control circuit is able to very the duty ratio linearly from 0 up to 100%. This converter also contains an error amplifier circuit as well as a soft-start circuit that prevents overshoot at startup. An enable function, an over current protect function and a short circuit protect function are built inside, and when OCP or SCP happens, the operation frequency will be reduced from 300KHz to 30KHz. Also, an internal compensation block is built in to minimum external
component count.

 With the addition of an internal P-channel Power MOS, a coil, capacitors, and a diode connected externally, these ICs can function as step-down switching regulators. They serve as ideal power supply units for portable devices when coupled with the SOP-16L mini-package, providing such outstanding features as low current consumption. Since this converter can accommodate an input voltage up to 23V, it is also suitable for the operation via an AC adapter.

* Function Description
PWM Control
The AP1511 consists of DC/DC converters that employ a pulse-width modulation (PWM) system. In converters of the AP1511, the pulse width varies in a range from 0 to 100%, according to the load current. The ripple voltage produced by the switching can easily be removed through a filter because the switching frequency remains constant. Therefore, these converters provide a low-ripple power over broad ranges of input voltage and load current.
