DESCRIPTION
The SPX29300/01/02/03 are 3A, highly accurate voltage regulators with a low drop out voltage of 450mV dropout (typical) @ 3A. These regulators are specifically designed for low voltage applications that require a low dropout voltage and a fast transient response. They are fully fault protected against over-current, reverse battery, and positive and negative voltage transients. On-Chip trimming adjusts the reference voltage to 1% initial accuracy. Other features in the 5 pin versions include Enable, and Error Flag.
The SPX29300/01/02/03 are offered in 3 & 5-pin TO-220 & TO-263 packages. For a 1.5A version, refer to the SPX29150 data sheet.

Description
The GM66500 series is 5.0A low-dropout linear voltage regulators that provide a low-voltage, high-current output with a minimum of external components.
The GM66500 series offers extremely low dropout typically 400mV at 5.0A) and low ground current (typically 70mA at 5.0A).
The GM66500 series is ideal for PC add-in cards that need to convert from standard 3.0V to 2.5V and 2.5V to 1.8V, down to new, lower core voltages. A guaranteed maximum dropout voltage of 500mV over all operating conditions allows the GM66500 series to provide 2.5V from a supply as low as 3V. The GM66500 series also has fast transient response, for heavy switching applications. The device requires only 47μF of output capacitance to maintain stability and achieve fast transient response.
The GM66500 series is fully protected with overcurrent limiting, thermal shutdown, reversed-battery protection, reversed-lead insertion protection, and reversed-leakage protection.
The GM66501 series offers a TTL-logic-compatible enable pin and an error flag that indicates undervoltage and overcurrent conditions. Offered in a fixed voltages, 1.8V and 2.5V, the GM66500 series comes in the TO-220 and TO-263 packages and is an ideal upgrade to older, NPNbased linear voltage regulators.

The MIK2576 series of regulators are monolithic integrated circuits that provide all the active functions for a step-down (buck) switching regulator, capable of driving 3A load with excellent line and load regulation. These devices are available in fixed output voltages of 3.3V, 5V, 12V, 15V, and an adjustable output versions. Requiring a minimum number of external components, these regulators are simple to use and include internal frequency compensation and a fixed-frequency oscillator. The MIK2576 series offers a high-efficiency replacement for popular three-terminal linear regulators. It substantially reduces the size of the heat sink, and in some cases no heat sink is required. A standard series of inductors optimized for use with the MIK2576 are available from several different manufacturers. This feature greatly simplifies the design of switch-mode power supplies. Other features include a guaranteed ± 4% tolerance on output voltage within specified input voltages and output load conditions, and ±10% on the oscillator frequency. External shutdown is included, featuring 50μA (typical) standby current. The output switch includes cycle-by-cycle current limiting, as well as thermal shutdown for full protection under fault conditions.
Note: The MIK2576HV is not produced yet.

General Description
The AME1117 is a 1A low-dropout positive voltage regulator. It is available in fixed and adjustable output voltage versions. Overcurrent and thermal protection are integrated onto the chip. Output current will limit as while it reaches the pre-set current or temperature limit. The dropout voltage is specified at 1.4V Maximum at full rated output current. The AME1117 series provides excellent regulation over line, load and temperature variations.

General Description
The RT9004 is designed for portable RF and wireless applications with demanding performance and space requirements. The RT9004 performance is optimized for battery-powered systems to deliver ultra low noise and low quiescent current. Regulator ground current increases only slightly in dropout, further prolonging the battery life. The RT9004 also works with low-ESR ceramic capacitors, reducing the amount of board space necessary for power applications, critical in hand-held wireless devices. The RT9004 consumes less than 0.01uA in shutdown mode and has fast turn-on time less than 50us. RT9004 is short circuit thermal folded back protected. RT9004 lowers its OTP trip point from 165°C to 110°C when output short circuit occurs (VOUT < 0.4V) providing maximum safety to end users. The other features include ultra low dropout voltage, high output accuracy, current limiting protection, and high ripple rejection ratio. Available in the VDFN-10L 3x3 and WDFN-10L 3x3 packages, the RT9004 also offers custom voltage, range of 1.5V to 3.5V with 0.1V per step.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The XC6225 series is a high accuracy, low noise, and low dropout CMOS LDO regulator. The series includes a reference voltage source, an error amplifier, a driver transistor, a current limiter, and a phase compensation circuit.
The CE function enables the entire circuit to be turned off by a low level input signal to the CE pin. In this stand-by state, the XC6225B series can discharge the electric charge stored at the output capacitor through the internal auto-discharge switch, and as a result the VOUT pin quickly returns to the VSS level. The output stabilization capacitor (CL) is also compatible with low ESR ceramic capacitors. Output voltage is selectable in 0.05V increments within a range of 0.8V~5.0V. The current limit fold-back circuit works as a short circuit protection as well as the output current limiter. The series achieves a fast response with only 25μA of low power consumption. The current limit is set to 50mA (TYP.) so that the device is optimized to protect the circuit from over-current. It is ideally suited for applications requiring 30 mA or less.
A small USP-4 package makes high density mounting possible.

General Description
The LM22676 series of regulators are monolithic integrated circuits which provide all of the active functions for a stepdown (buck) switching regulator capable of driving up to 3A loads with excellent line and load regulation characteristics. High efficiency (>90%) is obtained through the use of a low ON-resistance N-channel MOSFET. The series consists of a fixed 5V output and an adjustable version.
The SIMPLE SWITCHER® concept provides for an easy to use complete design using a minimum number of external components and National’s WEBENCH® design tool. National’s WEBENCH® tool includes features such as external component calculation, electrical simulation, thermal simulation, and Build-It boards for easy design-in. The switching clock frequency is provided by an internal fixed frequency oscillator which operates at 500 kHz. The LM22676 series also has built in thermal shutdown, current limiting and an enable control input that can power down the regulator to a low 25 μA quiescent current standby condition.

DESCRIPTION
The IR3710 is a single-phase sync-buck PWM controller optimized for efficiency in high performance portable electronics. The switching modulator uses constant on-time control. Constant on-time with diode emulation provides the highest light-load efficiency required for all.
Programmable switching frequency, soft start, and over current protection allows for a very flexible solution suitable for many different applications. The LM2596 series operates at a switching frequency of 150 kHz thus allowing smaller sized filter components than what would be needed with lower frequency switching regulators. Available in a standard 5-lead TO-220 package with several different lead bend options, and a 5-lead TO-263 surface mount package.
A standard series of inductors are available from several different manufacturers optimized for use with the LM2596 series. This feature greatly simplifies the design of switch-mode power supplies Other features include a guaranteed ±4% tolerance on output voltage under specified input voltage and output load conditions, and 15% on the oscillator frequency. External shutdown is included, featuring typically 80 μA standby current. Self protection features include a two stage frequency reducing current limit for the output switch and an over temperature shutdown for complete protection under fault conditions.
