The Zplayer Ultra reference design is a multimedia record and playback device featuring a built in 20, 30 or 40GByte hard disk, SD-card interface and USB2.0 High Speed and Full Speed connectivity to a PC or USB mass storage device. Audio or video data can be uploaded via USB to the local hard disc or SD-card. The SD-card contains pre-recorded data in MPEG-4, JPEG or MP3 format. Audio and Video data is output to a LCD or to a TV. MP3 files play through headphones.
Zplayer Ultra is based on the Zoran Zmedia chip (ZR36070) which uses a MPEG-4 codec for video, a JPEG codec for still images, and a MPEG1L2 codec for audio. Additionally, the Zmedia chips decodes MP3 audio files. It has a a built-in USB controller for host and slave mode and SD-card interface. Zplayer Ultra is part of a family of versatile multimedia products based on the Zmedia chip.

The Si4720/21 is the first single chip FM radio transceiver. The proven and patented digital architecture of the Si4720/21 combines the functionality of the Si470x FM radio receiver with the Si471x FM transmitter, offering full FM receive and transmit capabilities in a single, ultra-small 3x3x0.55 mm QFN package. The device leverages Silicon Lab's highly successful and proven FM technology, and offers unmatched integration and performance allowing FM receive and transmit to be added to any portable device by using a single chip. The Si4720/21's digital integration reduces the required external components of traditional offerings, resulting in a solution requiring only an external inductor and bypass capacitor, and a PCB space of approximately 15 mm2. The Si4720/21 is layout compatible with Silicon Laboratories' Si470x FM radio receivers, Si473x AM/FM radio receivers, and the Si471x FM radio transmitter solutions, allowing a single PCB layout to accommodate a variety of music features. The Si4721 is the industry's first single-chip integrated FM radio transceiver including both receive and transmit support for the European Radio Data System (RDS) and the U.S. Radio Broadcast Data System (RBDS). RDS allows digital information sent from the broadcaster to be displayed, such as station ID, song name and music category. In Europe, alternate frequency (AF) information is also provided to automatically change stations in areas where broadcasters use multiple frequencies. In transmit mode, digital information such as artist name, song title, music category, and branded messaging can be transmitted and displayed on any RDS/RBDS receiver.
Users are responsible to adjust their system's radiated power levels to comply with local regulations on RF transmission (FCC, ETSI, ARIB, etc.).

The TLV320AIC33 is a low power stereo audio codec with stereo headphone amplifier, as well as multiple inputs and outputs programmable in single-ended or fully differential configurations. Extensive register- based power control is included, enabling stereo 48-kHz DAC playback as low as 14 mW from a 3.3-V analog supply, making it ideal for portable battery-powered audio and telephony applications.

The stereo audio ADC supports sampling rates from 8 kHz to 96 kHz and is preceded by programmable gain amplifiers providing up to +59.5-dB analog gain for low-level microphone inputs.
The serial control bus supports SPI or I2C protocols, while the serial audio data bus is programmable for I2S, left/right-justified, DSP, or TDM modes. A highly programmable PLL is included for flexible clock generation and support for all standard audio rates from a wide range of available MCLKs, varying from 512 kHz to 50 MHz, with special attention paid to the most popular cases of 12-MHz, 13-MHz, 16-MHz, 19.2-MHz, and 19.68-MHz system clocks.
The TLV320AIC33 operates from an analog supply of 2.7 V–3.6 V, a digital core supply of 1.525 V–1.95 V, and a digital I/O supply of 1.1 V–3.6 V. The device is available in 5 X 5-mm, 80-ball MIcroStar Junior™ BGA and 7 X 7-mm, 48-lead QFN.
