The ATR0603 is a single-IF GPS front-end IC, designed to meet the requirements of mobile and automotive applications. Excellent RF performance combined with high bandwidth and a low noise figure enables high-quality GPS solutions, and its very low power consumption is a perfect match for portable devices. Featuring a fully integrated balanced frequency synthesizer, only a few external components are required. The gain of the IF amplifier can be set to three different levels in order to meet the requirements for various applications. Several types of external oscillators can be connected to the robust TCXO interface. The startup logic allows significant power saving due to very low power-down current and the ability to disable the external TCXO or even other external components. CMOS output drivers deliver a 1-bit data signal and a 16.367667-MHz clock signal to the baseband interface.

TQM640002 RF front end module (FEM) is an active device for GPS applications (center frequency 1575.42 MHz). It is designed for simultaneous GPS + voice in multi-function handsets. The FEM is comprised of a low-power flip-chip LNA die, a pair of high-performance SAW filters, and integrated passive matching circuitry. The module will operate at 1.8v or 2.8v bias and its current consumption – typically 5.0 mA – is not changed by DC supply, making it suitable for use in lowpower applications & during low-battery situations. The FEM performance exhibits high in-band gain and excellent rejection in all the key cellular & WLAN/Bluetooth bands. The device also exhibits both a high intercept point & a low noise figure, which optimally addresses today’s most stringent GPS front end receiver requirements.

General Description
The MAX2659 high-gain, low-noise amplifier (LNA) is designed for GPS, Galileo, and GLONASS applications.
Designed in Maxim’s advanced SiGe process, the device achieves a 20.5dB gain and an ultra-low-noise figure of 0.8dB while maximizing the input-referred 1dB compression point and the 3rd-order intercept point at - 12dBm and -5dBm, respectively.
The MAX2659 operates from a +1.6V to +3.3V single supply and consumes only 4.1mA. The shutdown feature in the device reduces the supply current to be less than 1μA. The MAX2659 is available in a very small, lead-free, RoHS-compliant, 1.5mm x 1.0mm x 0.75mm, 6-pin μDFN package.
