General Description
The TC1031 is a low-power comparator and voltage reference designed specifically for low-power applications. The TC1031 is designed for operation from a single supply, however operation from dual supplies is also possible. The power supply current drain is independent of the magnitude of the power supply voltage. The TC1031 can operate from two 1.5V alkaline cells, and operation is ensured to VDD = 1.8V. Typical active supply current is 6μA. Rail-to-rail inputs and outputs allow operation from low supply voltages with large input and output signal swings.
The TC1031 provides a simple method for adding useradjustable hysteresis without feedback or complex external circuitry. Hysteresis is adjusted with a simple resistor divider on the HYST input. A shutdown input, SHDN, disables the comparator and voltage reference and reduces supply current to less than 0.1μA (maximum) when taken low.
The TC1031 is packaged in a space-saving 8-Pin MSOP, making it ideal for applications requiring high integration, small size and low power.

General Description
 The AP393A consists of two independent precision voltage comparators with an offset voltage specification as low as 8.0mV max for two comparators which were designed specifically to operate from a single power supply over a wide range of voltages.
Operation from split power supplies is also possible and the low power supply current drain is independent of the magnitude of the power supply voltage.
These comparators also have a unique characteristic in that the input common-mode voltage range includes ground, even though operated from a single power supply voltage.
Application areas include limit comparators, simple analog to digital converters; pulse, square wave and time delay generators; wide range VCO; MOS clock timers; multivibrators and high voltage digital logic gates.
The AP393A is designed to directly interface with TTL and CMOS.
When operated from both plus and minus power supplies, the AP393A will directly interface with MOS logic where their low power drain is a distinct advantage over standard comparators.

The ALD2302A/ALD2302 are monolithic precision high performance dual voltage comparators built with advanced silicon gate CMOS technology.

October 31, 2007 – National Semiconductor Corporation (NYSE:NSM) today introduced a new low-power precision comparator with integrated 2.048V reference that provides adjustable hysteresis for the highest-accuracy signal detection in power supply and battery monitors, sensor interface and threshold detectors. The LMP7300 is the latest addition to the company’s PowerWise® energy-efficient product family.

The LMP7300’s adjustable hysteresis improves the noise immunity of the comparator and prevents false readings by providing engineers the flexibility to develop precise bidirectional threshold trip points that are positive, negative, symmetric or asymmetric. In addition, the two threshold trip points are independent of one another to further simplify designs without interdependency constraints.

The comparator’s low-offset voltage of 300 uV and low supply current of 10 uA make it well-suited for precision battery-operated systems. The ADCMP609 is a fast comparator fabricated on XFCB2, an Analog Devices, Inc. proprietary process. These comparators are exceptionally versatile and easy to use. Features include an input range from VEE − 0.2 V to VCC + 0.2 V, low noise, TTL-/ CMOS-compatible output drivers, and adjustable hysteresis and/or shutdown inputs.
The device offers 40 ns propagation delay driving a 15 pF load with 10 mV overdrive on 500 μA typical supply current.
A flexible power supply scheme allows the devices to operate with a single +2.5 V positive supply and a −0.2 V to +3.0 V input signal range up to a +5.5 V positive supply with a −0.2 V to +5.7 V input signal range.
The TTL-/CMOS-compatible output stage is designed to drive up to 15 pF with full rated timing specifications and to degrade in a graceful and linear fashion as additional capacitance is added. The comparator’s input stage offers robust protection against large input overdrive, and the outputs do not phase reverse when the valid input signal range is exceeded.  The LT®1011 is a general purpose comparator with significantly better input characteristics than the LM111. Although pin compatible with the LM111, it offers four times lower bias current, six times lower offset voltage and five times higher voltage gain. Offset voltage drift, a previously unspecified parameter, is guaranteed at 15mV/°C. Additionally, the supply current is lower by a
factor of two with no loss in speed. The LT1011 is several times faster than the LM111 when subjected to large overdrive conditions. It is also fully specified for DC parameters and response time when operating on a single 5V supply.

 These parametric improvements allow the LT1011 to be used in high accuracy (³12-bit) systems without trimming. In a 12-bit A/D application, for instance, using a 2mA DAC, the offset error introduced by the LT1011 is less than 0.5LSB. The LT1011 retains all the versatile features of the LM111, including single 3V to ±18V supply operation, and a floating transistor output with 50mA source/sink capability. It can drive loads referenced to ground, negative supply or positive supply, and is specified up to 50V between V– and the collector output.
A differential input voltage up to the full supply voltage is allowed, even with ±18V supplies, enabling the inputs to be clamped to the supplies with simple diode clamps.

The SN74LS85 is a 4-Bit Magnitude Camparator which compares two 4-bit words (A, B), each word having four Parallel Inputs (A0–A3, B0–B3); A3, B3 being the most significant inputs. Operation is not restricted to binary codes, the device will work with any monotonic code. Three Outputs are provided: “A greater than B” (OA>B), “A less than B” (OA<B), “A equal to B” (OA=B). Three Expander Inputs, IA>B, IA<B, IA=B, allow cascading without external gates. For proper compare operation, the Expander Inputs to the least significant position must be connected as follows: IA<B= IA>B = L, IA=B = H. For serial (ripple) expansion, the OA>B, OA<B and OA=B Outputs are connected respectively to the IA>B, IA<B, and IA=B Inputs of the next most significant comparator, as shown in Figure 1. Refer to Applications section of data sheet for high speed method of comparing large words. The Truth Table on the following page describes the operation of the SN74LS85 under all possible logic conditions. The upper 11 lines
describe the normal operation under all conditions that will occur in a single device or in a series expansion scheme. The lower five lines describe the operation under abnormal conditions on the cascading inputs. These conditions occur when the parallel expansion technique is used.

The LM111 series are voltage comparators that have input currents approximately a hundred times lower than devices like the mA710. They are designed to operate over a wider range of supply voltages; from standard ±15V op amp supplies down to a single 3V supply. Their output is compatible with RTL, DTL, and TTL as well as MOS circuits. Further, they can drive lamps or relays, switching voltages up to 50V at currents as high as 50mA. Both the inputs and the outputs of the LM111 series can be isolated from system ground, and the output can drive loads referred to ground, the positive supply, or the negative supply. Offset balancing and strobe capability are provided and outputs can be wire-ORed. Although slower than the mA710 (200ns response time vs 40ns), the devices are also much less prone to spurious oscillations. The LM111 series has the same pin configuration as the mA710 series.
