DESCRIPTION
The DS1315 Phantom Time Chip is a combination of a CMOS timekeeper and a nonvolatile memory controller. In the absence of power, an external battery maintain the timekeeping operation and provides power for a CMOS static RAM. The watch keeps track of hundredths of seconds, seconds, minutes, hours, day, date, month, and year information. The last day of the month is automatically adjusted for months with less than 31 days, including leap year correction. The watch operates in one of two formats: a 12-hour mode with an AM/PM indicator or a 24-hour mode. The nonvolatile controller supplies all the necessary support circuitry to convert a CMOS RAM to a nonvolatile memory. The DS1315 can be interfaced with either RAM or ROM without leaving gaps in memory.

TRC101 is a highly integrated single chip, zero-IF, multi-channel, low power RF transceiver. It is an ideal fit for low cost, high volume, two way short-range wireless applications for use in the unlicensed 300-1000 MHz frequency bands. All critical RF and baseband functions are completely integrated in the chip, thus minimizing external component count and simplifying and speeding design-ins. Use of a low cost, generic 10MHz crystal and a low-cost microcontroller is all that is needed to create a complete link. The TRC101 also incorporates different sleep modes to reduce overall current consumption and extend battery life. DESCRIPTION
The DS5000FP Soft Microprocessor Chip is an 8051-compatible processor based on NV RAM
technology. It is substantially more flexible than a standard 8051, yet provides full compatibility with the 8051 instruction set, timers, serial port, and parallel I/O ports. By using NV RAM instead of ROM, the user can program and then reprogram the microcontroller while in-system. The application software can even change its own operation, which allows frequent software upgrades, adaptive programs, customized systems, etc. In addition, by using NV SRAM, the DS5000FP is ideal for data-logging applications and it connects easily to a Dallas real-time clock for time stamp and date.
The DS5000FP provides the benefits of NV RAM without using I/O resources. It uses a non-multiplexed Byte-wide address and data bus for memory access. This bus can perform all memory access and provides decoded chip enables for SRAM. This leaves the 32 I/O port pins free for application use. The DS5000FP uses ordinary SRAM and battery backs the memory contents with a user’s external lithium cell. Data is maintained for over 10 years with a very small lithium cell. A DS5000FP also provides crashproof operation in portable systems or systems with unreliable power. These features include the ability to save the operating state, Power-fail Reset, Power-fail Interrupt, and Watchdog Timer.
A user loads programs into the DS5000FP via its on-chip Serial Bootstrap Loader. This function
supervises the loading of code into NV RAM, validates it, then becomes transparent to the user. Software can be stored in an 8-kbyte or 32-kbyte CMOS SRAM. Using its internal Partitioning, the DS5000FP will divide this common RAM into user programmable code and data segments. This Partition can be selected at program loading time, but can be modified anytime later. It will decode memory access to the SRAM, communicate via its Byte-wide bus and write-protect the memory portion designated as ROM.
Combining program and data storage in one device saves board space and cost. The DS5000FP can also access a second 32 kbytes of NV RAM but this area is restricted to data memory. For a user that wants a pre-constructed module using the DS5000FP, RAM, lithium cell, and optional real time clock; the DS2250(T) and DS5000(T) are available and described in separate data sheets. More details are also contained in the User’s Guide section of the Secure Microcontroller Data Book.

These chip LEDs are designed in an industry standard package for ease of handling and use. Five different LED colors are available in four compact, single color packages.
The HSMx-C150 has the industry standard 3.2 x 1.6 mm footprint that is excellent for all around use. The HSMx-C170 has the widely used 2.0 x 1.25 mm footprint. The HSMx-C190 has the industry standard 1.6 x 0.8 mm footprint, its low 0.8 mm profile and wide viewing angle make this LED exceptional for backlighting applications.
The HSMx-C110 is a rightangle package with the universally accepted dimensions of 3.2 x 1.0 x 1.5 mm. This part is ideal for LCD backlighting and sidelighting applications.

Functional Description
The architecture of the XC164LM combines advantages of RISC, CISC, and DSP processors with an advanced peripheral subsystem in a very well-balanced way.
In addition, the on-chip memory blocks allow the design of compact systems-on-silicon with
maximum performance (computing, control, communication).
The on-chip memory blocks (program code-memory and SRAM, dual-port RAM, data SRAM) and the set of generic peripherals are connected to the CPU via separate buses (see Figure 3-1).
