General Description
The MAX1907A/MAX1981A are single-phase, Quick-PWM™ master controllers for IMVP-IV™ CPU core supplies. Multi-phase operation is achieved using a Quick-PWM slave controller (MAX1980). Multiphase operation reduces input ripple current requirements and output voltage ripple while easing component selection and layout difficulties. The MAX1907A/MAX1981A include active voltage positioning with adjustable gain and offset, reducing power dissipation and bulk output capacitance requirements.
The MAX1907A/MAX1981A are intended for two different notebook CPU core applications: either bucking down the battery directly, or 5V system supply to create the core voltage. The single-stage conversion method allows these devices to directly step down high-voltage batteries for the highest possible efficiency. Alternatively, two-stage conversion (stepping down the 5V system supply instead of the battery) at higher switching frequency provides the minimum possible physical size.
The MAX1907A/MAX1981A meet the IMVP-IV specifications and include logic to interface with the CPU power good signals from the VCCP and VCCMCH rails within the system. The regulator features power-up sequencing, automatically ramping up to the Intel-specified boot voltage. The MAX1907A/MAX1981A feature independent four-level logic inputs for setting the boot voltage (B0–B2) and the suspend voltage (S0–S2).
The MAX1907A/MAX1981A include output undervoltage protection, thermal protection, and system power-OK (SYSPOK) input/output. When any of these protection features detect a fault, the MAX1907A/MAX1981A immediately shut down. Additionally, the MAX1907A includes overvoltage protection.
The MAX1907A/MAX1981A are available in a thin 40-pin QFN package.

General Description
 The HS-6253 is a 133MHz FSB VIA VT8606 chipset-based board designed for PCI-ISA Bus VIA C3 800MHz Embedded CPU. These features combine and make the HS-6253 an ideal all-in-one industrial single board computer. Additional features include an enhanced I/O with CRT/Panel, Dual LAN, Audio, and 4 COM ports interfaces.

 Its onboard ATA/33/66/100 to IDE drive interface architecture allows the HS-6253 to support data transfers of 33, 66 or 100MB/sec. to one IDE drive connection. Designed with the VIA VT8606 core logic chipset, the board supports VIA C3 800MHz Embedded CPU. The 8606 integrated S3 3D supporting AGP Bus For suitable installation into any size system with 8/16/32-bit ISA and/or PCI slots operation, the board’s advanced PCI-ISA bus add-on feature
allows user to easily obtain both ISA's 16-bit and PCI's 32-bit full set signals from a half size PCI-ISA slot. System memory is also sufficient with the two DIMM sockets that can support up to 1GB.

 Additional onboard connectors include an advanced USB and IrDA ports providing faster data transmission, a DOS-compatible DiskOnChip socket with a maximum capacity of 288MB, and two external RJ-45 connectors for 10/100 Based Ethernet use. To ensure the reliability in an unmanned or standalone system, the Watchdog Timer (WDT) onboard HS-6253 is designed with pure hardware that does not need the arithmetical functions of a real-time clock chip. If any program causes unexpected halts to the system, the onboard Watchdog Timer (WDT) will automatically reset the CPU or generate an interrupt to resolve such condition.

 The CS5151 is a 4−bit nonsynchronous N−Channel buck controller. It is designed to provide unprecedented transient response for today’s demanding high−density, high−speed logic. The regulator operates using a proprietary control method, which allows a 100 ns response time to load transients.
 The CS5151 is designed to operate over a 4.25−16 V range (VCC) using 12 V to power the IC and 5.0 V as the main supply for conversion. The CS5151 is specifically designed to power Pentium® processors with MMX™ Technology and other high performance core logic. It includes the following features: on board, 4−bit DAC, short circuit protection, 1.0% output tolerance, VCC monitor, and programmable Soft Start capability.
