General Description
The EMC1033 is an SMBus temperature sensor that monitors up to three temperature zones and can generate two system interrupts. With ±1°C measurement accuracy, the EMC1033 provides a low-cost solution for critical temperature monitoring applications. Features include automatic resistance error correction and programmable ideality factor configuration eliminating both major sources of temperature measurement error.
The EMC1033 generates two separate interrupts with programmable thermal trip points. The THERM output operates as a thermostat with programmable threshold and hysteresis. The ALERT output can be configured as a maskable SMBus alert with programmable window comparator limits, or as a second THERM output. Both interrupts are maintained in an 8-pin package while a third temperature zone is added with the anti-parallel diode technique. This allows the EMC1033 to be pin compatible with the ADT7461, ADM1032, LM99, and the MAX6649 with the advantage of a third temperature zone.

General Description
The USB3311 is a highly integrated Hi-Speed USB2.0 Transceiver (PHY) that supports systems
architectures based on a 26MHz reference clock. It is designed to be used in both commercial and industrial temperature applications.
The USB3311 meets all of the electrical requirements to be used as a Hi-Speed USB Host, Device, or an On-the-Go (OTG) device. In addition to the supporting USB signaling the USB3311 also provides USB UART mode and USB Audio mode.
USB3311 uses the industry standard UTMI+ Low Pin Interface (ULPI) to connect the USB PHY to the Link. The industry standard ULPI interface uses a method of in-band signaling and status byte transfers between the Link and PHY, to facilitate a USB session. By using in-band signaling and status byte transfers the ULPI interface requires only 12 pins.
The USB3311 uses SMSC’s “wrapper-less” technology to implement the ULPI interface. This “wrapperless” technology allows the PHY to achieve a low latency transmit and receive time. SMSC’s low latency transceiver allows an existing UTMI Link to be reused by adding a UTMI to ULPI bridge. By adding a bridge to the ASIC the existing and proven UTMI Link IP can be reused.
PRODUCT FEATURES

General Description
The EMC1422 is a high accuracy, low cost, System Management Bus (SMBus) temperature sensor. Advanced features such as Resistance Error Correction (REC), Beta Compensation (to support CPU diodes requiring the BJT/transistor model including 45nm, 65nm and 90nm processors) and automatic diode type detection combine to provide a robust solution for complex environmental monitoring applications.
Additionally, the EMC1422 provides a hardware programmable system shutdown feature that is programmed at part power-up via two pull-up resistor values and that cannot be masked or corrupted through the SMBus.
Each device provides ±1° accuracy for external diode temperatures and ±2°C accuracy for the internal diode temperature. The EMC1422 monitors two temperature channels (one external and one internal).
Resistance Error Correction automatically eliminates the temperature error caused by series resistance allowing greater flexibility in routing thermal diodes. Beta Compensation eliminates temperature errors caused by low, variable beta transistors common in today's fine geometry processors. The automatic beta detection feature monitors the external diode/transistor and determines the optimum sensor settings for accurate temperature measurements regardless of processor technology. This frees the user from providing unique sensor configurations for each temperature monitoring application. These advanced features plus ±1°C measurement accuracy provide a low-cost, highly flexible and accurate solution for critical temperature monitoring applications.
