General Description
NOTE: These products are now obsolete. The ADC12L030 family is 12-bit plus sign successive approximation A/D converters with serial I/O and configurable input multiplexers. These devices are fully tested with a single 3.3V power supply. The ADC12L032, ADC12L034 and
ADC12L038 have 2, 4 and 8 channel multiplexers, respectively.
Differential multiplexer outputs and A/D inputs are available at the MUXOUT1, MUXOUT2, A/DIN1 and A/DIN2 pins. The ADC12L030 has a two channel multiplexer with the multiplexer outputs and A/D inputs internally connected. On request, these A/Ds go through a self calibration process that adjusts linearity, zero and full-scale errors to less than ±1⁄2 LSB each.
The analog inputs can be configured to operate in various combinations of single-ended, differential, or pseudodifferential modes. A fully differential unipolar analog input range (0V to +3.3V) can be accommodated with a single +3.3V supply. In the differential modes, valid outputs are obtained even when the negative inputs are greater than the positive because of the 12-bit plus sign two’s compliment output data format.
The serial I/O is configured to comply with NSC’s MICROWIRE™ and Motorola’s SPI standards. For voltage references, see the LM4040, LM4050 or LM4041 data sheets.
The ADC12L032 and the ADC12L034 are not recommended for new designs and are presented for reference only.

The ADC12EU050 is a 12-bit, ultra-low power, octal A/D converter for use in high performance analog to digital applications.
The ADC12EU050 uses an innovative continuous time sigma delta architecture offering ultra low power consumption and an alias free sample bandwidth up to 25MHz. The input stage of each channel features a proprietary system to ensure instantaneous recovery from overdrive. Instant overload recovery (IOR) with no memory effect guarantees the elimination of phase errors resulting from out of range input signals.
The ADC12EU050 reduces interconnection complexity by using programmable serialized outputs which offer the industry standard LVDS and SLVS modes. Power consumption of only 44mW per channel(@ 50MSPS) gives a total chip power consumption of 350mW. The ADC12EU050 can operate entirely from a 1.2V supply, although a separate output driver supply of up to 1.8V can be used. The device operates from -40 to +85 °C and is supplied in a 10 x 10 mm2, 68 pin package.

General Description
The LM20242 is a full featured 1MHz capable synchronous buck regulator capable of delivering up to 2A of load current.
The current mode control loop is externally compensated with only two external components, offering both high performance and ease of use. The device is optimized to work over the input voltage range of 4.5V to 36V making it well suited for high voltage systems.
The device features internal Over Voltage Protection (OVP) and Over Current Protection (OCP) circuits for increased system reliability. A precision Enable pin and integrated UVLO allows the turn on of the device to be tightly controlled and sequenced. Startup inrush currents are limited by both an internally fixed and externally adjustable soft-start circuit. Fault detection and supply sequencing are possible with the integrated PGOOD circuit.

General Description
The ADC08L060 is a low-power, 8-bit, monolithic analog-todigital converter with an on-chip track-and-hold circuit. Optimized for low cost, low power, small size and ease of use, this
product operates at conversion rates of 10 MSPS to 60 MSPS while consuming just 0.65 mW per MHz of clock frequency, or 39 mW at 60 MSPS. Raising the PD pin puts the ADC08L060 into a Power Down mode where it consumes about 1 mW.
The unique architecture achieves 7.6 Effective Bits. The ADC08L060 is resistant to latch-up and the outputs are shortcircuit proof. The top and bottom of the ADC08L060s reference ladder are available for connections, enabling a wide range of input possibilities. The digital outputs are TTL/ CMOS compatible with a separate output power supply pin to support interfacing with 1.8V to 3V logic. The output coding is straight binary and the digital inputs (CLK and PD) are TTL/ CMOS compatible.
The ADC08L060 is offered in a 24-lead plastic package (TSSOP) and is specified over the industrial temperature range of −40°C to +85°C. An evaluation board is available to assist in the evaluation of the ADC08L060.

General Description
The DS90CR213 transmitter converts 21 bits of CMOS/TTL data into three LVDS (Low Voltage Differential Signaling) data streams. A phase-locked transmit clock is transmitted in parallel with the data streams over a fourth LVDS link. Every cycle of the transmit clock 21 bits of input data are sampled and transmitted. The DS90CR214 receiver converts the LVDS data streams back into 21 bits of CMOS/TTL data. At a transmit clock frequency of 66 MHz, 21 bits of TTL data are
transmitted at a rate of 462 Mbps per LVDS data channel.
Using a 66 MHz clock, the data throughput is 1.386 Gbit/ (173 Mbytes/s).
The multiplexing of the data lines provides a substantial cable reduction. Long distance parallel single-ended buses typically require a ground wire per active signal (and have very limited noise rejection capability). Thus, for a 21-bit wide data and one clock, up to 44 conductors are required. With the Channel Link chipset as few as 9 conductors (3 data pairs, 1 clock pair and a minimum of one ground) are needed. This provides an 80% reduction in required cable width, which provides a system cost savings, reduces connector physical size and cost, and reduces shielding requirements due to the cable’s smaller form factor.
The 21 CMOS/TTL inputs can support a variety of signal combinations. For example, 5 4-bit nibbles (byte + parity) 2 9-bit (byte + 3 parity) and 1 control.

General Description
The LM2688 is a low-cost non-synchronous voltage-mode PWM controller which maintains an accurate and adjustable output voltage for high current, low voltage DC/DC applications such as the Pentium microprocessor family. By using different combinations of feedback resistors, the regulator output voltage can be precisely adjusted to match different requirements. Coming in an 8-lead surface mount package, the LM2688 can be used to control a buck regulator with an load current up to 10A. An on-chip precision trimmed reference allows tight voltage regulation and an internal 150 kHz fixed-frequency oscillator eliminates extra components to set the switching frequency. The LM2688 also provides an ON/ OFF pin which enables the CPU to shutdown the regulator when necessary. Self protection features include a two stage current limit for the output switch and an over temperature shutdown for complete protection under fault conditions. General Description
The LM5642 consists of two current mode synchronous buck regulator controllers operating 180° out of phase with each other at a normal switching frequency of 200kHz.
Out of phase operation reduces the input ripple RMS current, thereby significantly reducing the required input capacitance.
The switching frequency can be synchronized to an external clock between 150kHz and 250kHz. The two switching regulator outputs can also be paralleled to operate as a dual-phase single output regulator.
The output of each channel can be independently adjusted from 1.3 to 90% of Vin. An internal 5V rail is also available externally for driving bootstrap circuitry.
Current-mode feedback control assures excellent line and load regulation and a wide loop bandwidth for excellent response to fast load transients. Current is sensed across either the Vds of the top FET or across an external currentsense resistor connected in series with the drain of the top FET.
The LM5642 features analog soft-start circuitry that is independent of the output load and output capacitance making the soft-start behavior more predictable and controllable than traditional soft-start circuits.
Over-voltage protection is available for both outputs. A UVDelay pin is also available to allow delayed shut off time for the IC during an output under-voltage event.
