PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
The ANADIGICS ACA2604 amplifier for Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) applications is intended to be used in conjunction with the triplexer in fiber-coax line terminals. The device is driven by, and amplifies the output of, the video downstream path photodiode.
The high-impedance input of the ACA2604 eliminates the need for a costly transformer usually needed to interface to the photodiode, and a low equivalent input noise level offers excellent sensitivity. The device provides sufficient linearity to maintain low CTB and CSO levels in full-bandwidth (132 channel) systems, even across a wide gain adjustment range.
The ACA2604 is manufactured using ANADIGICS’s proven MESFET technology that offers state-of-theart reliability, temperature stability and ruggedness. The device operates from a single +5 V supply and is offered in a 5 mm x 5 mm x 1 mm surface mount package.

The ARA2004 is designed to provide the reverse path amplification and output level control functions in a CATV Set-Top Box or Cable Modem. It incorporates a digitally controlled precision step attenuator that is preceded by an ultra low noise amplifier stage, and followed by an ultra-linear output driver amplifier. This device uses a balanced circuit design that exceeds the MCNS/DOCSIS requirement for harmonic performance at a +60 dBmV output level while only requiring a single polarity +5 V supply. Both the input and output are matched to 75 ohms with an appropriate transformer. The precision attenuator provides up to 58 dB of attenuation in 1 dB increments via a three-wire serial interface. With external passive components, this device meets IEC 1000-4-12 and ANSI/IEEE C62.41-1991 100KHz ringwave tests, as well as IEC1000-4-5 1.2/50 μS surge tests. The ARA2004 is offered in a 28-pin SSOP package featuring a heat slug on the bottom of the package.

The ANADIGICS AWL9232 is a high performance InGaP HBT power amplifier, low-noise amplifier and RF switch integrated on a single IC. It is particularly applicable in consumer electronics products (e.g., cell phones, MP3 players, cameras, etc.) that integrate 802.11b/g WLAN in the 2.4 - 2.5 GHz band. Matched to 50  on all RF ports, the part requires only one choke inductor and one power supply decoupling cap off-chip.
The antenna port is switched between WLAN transmit, WLAN receive and Bluetooth paths with a low-loss single-pole triple-throw RF switch. The transmit path PA exhibits unparalleled linearity for both IEEE 802.11g and 802.11b WLAN systems under the toughest signal configurations within these standards. The WLAN receive path from the antenna port to receiver output port provides a low noise, high-gain path to the system receiver chain. The AWL9232 is biased by a single +3.8 V supply and consumes ultra-low current in the OFF mode.
The AWL9232 is manufactured using advanced InGaP HBT technology that offers state-of-the-art reliability, temperature stability and ruggedness. It is provided in a 3 x 3 x 0.55 mm ULPCC package optimized for a 50Ω system.

The ANADIGICS ATA7609 is a –5.2 V high-speed transimpedance amplifier (TIA) designed for 10 Gb/s optical receiver applications available in bare die form and manufactured using an InGaP based HBT process. The device is used in conjunction with a photodetector to convert an optical signal into a differential output voltage that can be AC or DC coupled to a post amplifier. The ATA7609 has an internal overload support circuit and can accept optical inputs as high as +3 dBm. With its low noise and high optical overload capability, the device is well suited for 10 Gb/s Ethernet and OC-192 Very Short-Reach (VSR), Short-Reach, Intermediate-Reach and Long-Reach optical receivers, transceivers and transponders. The ATA7609 is identical to the ATA7603 but with the output polarities reversed.
