The MC13028A is a third generation C–QUAM stereo decoder targeted for use in low voltage, low cost AM/FM E.T.R. radio applications. Advanced features include a signal quality detector that analyzes signal strength, signal to noise ratio, and stereo pilot tone before switching to the stereo mode. A “blend function” much like FM stereo has been added to improve the transition from mono to stereo. The audio output level is adjustable to allow easy interface with a variety of AM/FM tuner chips. The external components have been minimized to keep the total system cost low.

General Description
Mimix Broadband’s 17.0-25.0 GHz GaAs packaged receiver has a noise figure of 2.5 dB and 20.0 dB image rejection across the band. This device is a two stage balanced LNA followed by an image reject sub-harmonic anti-parallel diode mixer and includes an integrated LO buffer amplifer. The image reject mixer eliminates the need for a bandpass filter after the LNA to remove thermal noise at the image frequency. The use of a sub-harmonic mixer makes the provision of the LO easier than for fundamental mixers at these frequencies. I and Q mixer outputs are provided and an external 90 degree hybrid is required to select the desired sideband. This device uses Mimix Broadband’s 0.15 μm GaAs PHEMT device model technology, and is based upon electron beam lithography to ensure high repeatability and uniformity. The device comes in a 7x7 mm QFN Surface Mount Laminate Package offering excellent RF and thermal properties and is RoHS compliant. LX1996 is an integrated white LED driver for notebook size displays. It is designed to drive up to six strings of LEDs. The LX1996 consists of a boost converter and six precision current sources. It also includes a direct analog light sensor interface and can be dimmed by a PWM signal or by application of a DC control voltage.
Precision current mirror circuitry sets all channels to the same current with a single programming input. The current value can be programmed up to 30mA per channel with a single resistor from the PRG pin to ground. Channel to channel matching is within ± 0.5 percent typical at 25°C ambient of the channels mean at the rated output current.
Unique design features include temperature compensated LED current, and audible noise reduction using Ultrasonic Pulse Skipping.
Temperature compensated LED current is accomplished by a dedicated input pin (OT) that in conjunction with an external thermistor measures the LED’s ambient temperature and thereby prevents over temperature stress to the LEDs by keeping them within their safe operating area.
Additional features include low sleep mode current (6μA typ.) for extending battery time, multi-mode dimming via ambient light sensor interface, analog dimming, direct PWM dimming and combination of analog and direct PWM dimming for up to a 25000:1 dimming range.
The LX1996 is designed to work over a wide input voltage range from 6V to 28Vdc with adjustable over voltage protection (OVP), and short and open LED protection.

The Microchip Technology Inc. MCP601/1R/2/3/4 family of low-power operational amplifiers (op amps) are offered in single (MCP601), single with Chip Select (CS) (MCP603), dual (MCP602), and quad (MCP604) configurations. Maxwell Technologies’ 54LVTH162245 devices are 16-bit (dual-octal) non-inverting 3-state transceivers designed for low-voltage (3.3V) VCC operation, but with the capability to provide a TTL interface to a 5V system environment. These devices can be used as two 8-bit transceivers or one 16-bit transceiver. The devices allow data transmission from the A bus to the B bus or form the B bus to the A bus, depending on the logic level at the direction-control (DIR) input.
